Pamukkale and Heirapolis

We visited the ancient city of Hierapolis (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the antique pool and "cotton castle" at Pamukkale. The hot springs there have been used since the second century and is suppose to cure ailments.

Our hotel, Spa Hotel Colossae Thermal, is one of two hotel with the same thermal hot springs waters in their pools, except loaded with chlorine. We took a dip at the hotel pool for 5TL. It had so much chlorine added that it made me somewhat nauseous after being there for 30 minutes. The hotel nickel and dime you for everything (internet 10 TL, "mini-bar control" before you even checkout etc.), to go into the steam room was an extra 5TL.

I can't complain about the food. The hotel had the best buffet with live music. I was really pleased about that.
