Kusadasi, hilly town overlooking the Aegean Sea

From Troy we headed towards Kusadasi. We passed Sirince. Sirince was flooded with tourists in December 2012. According to the Mayan calendar, the world would end in an apocalyptical catastrophe on December 21. It was believed that Sirince would be one of two towns to be spared (the other town in is in Brazil).

Our guide told us Tom and Suri Cruise was in Sirince during that time. The night the world was to end, the hotel where they stayed at decided to have some fun and turned off the lights at midnight for a few minutes.

Kusadasi is a hilly town overlooking the Aegean Sea and is a town the cruise ships stop at. It is close to great attractions like Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary.

I love how the streets are lined with orange and lemon trees.
