We were expecting to see specular views of the opera house and the statue of Ho Chi Minh. Instead the statue had been clear for subway construction.

This site is dedicated to the monk who set himself on fire to protest the persecution of monks by the South Vietnamese government in 1963.
Site across street is where the monk set himself on fire. The blue car in the background has been preserved and you can view it (I can't remember which city it was moved to).
Ben Thanh market, full of cheap quality stuff.
We headed out in the downpour of the rain to Barbeque Garden. The best bbq food I ever had!
